Boy Scout Troop 35
Join Scouting Today!

Over the course of our history, Troop 35 members have attended National Jamborees and the Philmont Scout Ranch numerous times. Recently, we have kayaked the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior, canoed the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota and attended the Lincoln Pilgrimage in Springfield, Illinois. We plan campouts or special events every month. Some Troop favorites are the Grant Pilgrimage in Galena, Illinois, skiing at Sundown near Dubuque, trout fishing at Fountain Springs park near Manchester and canoe trips on various local rivers. Twenty-six T35 Scouts attended summer camp in 2009 at the nearby Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation’s Camp Wakonda.

Boy Scouting is a youth program that stresses personal initiative and responsibility. Like all Troops, Troop 35 expects that from our Scouts as they plan and execute various Troop activities. In Boy Scouting, adult roles are regarded as advisory and instructional and we encourage all our Troop’s adult Scouters to participate in our fellowship whenever possible. Troop 35 derives its vitality and strength from its Scouts and adult Scouters. JOIN US!
