About...
Troop 35 is part of the ‘Three Rivers District’ of the Hawkeye Area Council. The Council is headquartered at the Bezanson Service Center in southwest Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Council’s official website is www.hawkeyebsa.org . We encourage you to visit the Council’s site for all kinds of locally important Scout information.
Although Troop 35 is chartered by the First United Methodist Church of Marion, Iowa it’s not necessary to be a FUMC member to join our Troop or participate in T35 events. Our purpose, as always, is to provide young men from ‘late 5th grade’-18 years of age activities that help them grow in the areas of leadership, citizenship and communication. The Scouting movement is world renowned for its character-building efforts focused on camping and other outdoor activities.
